Do eyelash extensions hurt?
Although work around the eyelids can be nerve-racking, eyelash extensions do not cause pain. Each fiber is applied to each individual lash with specialized glue, the process is simple, but can be uncomfortable. Especially when you have to hold still for a long period of time. Our technicians will do their best to make you as comfortable as possible! Eyes are always closed and many of our clients tend to fall asleep.
Before the application process, you will be instructed to lie down on your back. A soft pad is then placed over the bottom set of lashes. This position makes it easier for the technician to both examine and clean your eyelashes. The next step involves isolating each natural lash while attaching the extensions.While attaching the individual fibers, it may feel as if your lashes are being brushed.
How long do eyelash extensions take to do?
Depending on the application process and how many lashes are used, the time it takes to extend eyelashes can vary. For more voluminous eyelashes, one set can take up to three hours. A classic set of eyelashes can take roughly two hours to apply. For both volume and classic lashes, typically a mini fill will take approximately one hour to apply where as an extended fill may take 75 minutes.
How long do eyelash extensions take to heal?
After eyelash extension application, we recommend that your eyelashes avoid water within the first 48 hours after application. Showering and exposure to heat, such as sitting in a sauna or prolonged use of a hair dryer, are not recommended. Certain types of makeup can also be damaging. Avoid using any oil-based cosmetics. Eye makeup, cream and drops should not be used.
How long do eyelash extensions last?
Eyelash extensions typically last 4 to 6 weeks, but we recommend refills every 2 to 3 weeks. Since the natural cycle of growth for each person’s eyelashes varies, the need for new eyelash extensions is different for each person treated. For full eyelashes all year, refill maintenance is required.
